Design and Display
The OnePlus Nord 6 features a slim profile with an all-plastic frame and back, maintaining a lightweight yet sturdy feel in hand. The rear design is defined by a square-shaped camera module that houses a dual-camera setup along with an LED flash, giving it a modern and minimal aesthetic. Weighing approximately 217 grams, it is slightly heavier than its predecessor, the Nord 5, by around 6 grams. The inclusion of an X-axis linear vibration motor ensures precise and satisfying haptic feedback.
In terms of durability, the Nord 6 stands out with an extensive range of ingress protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, IP68K, and IP69K, offering strong resistance against dust and water. The device is available in three elegant color options: White, Black, and Mint.
On the front, the Nord 6 boasts a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display. It incorporates high-frequency PWM dimming technology, reducing eye strain during prolonged usage. With an impressive 165Hz refresh rate—comparable to premium devices like the OnePlus 15—this display delivers exceptionally smooth scrolling and responsiveness, making it one of the most fluid panels in its segment. The screen also reaches up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even under bright outdoor conditions. An optical in-display fingerprint sensor is included, although an ultrasonic alternative would have been a more premium addition at this price point.
Performance and Software
Powering the Nord 6 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process, delivering flagship-level efficiency and performance. This processor has already proven its capabilities in devices like the Nothing Phone 3, achieving AnTuTu scores exceeding 2.5 million. Compared to the previous generation, users can expect a noticeable performance boost over the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 found in the Nord 5.
The device is capable of running demanding titles such as PUBG and BGMI at a stable 165 FPS, offering a top-tier gaming experience. It also integrates the G2 WiFi chip, first introduced with the OnePlus 15, for improved connectivity and network performance.
The Nord 6 comes equipped with up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage and 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring fast data access and smooth multitasking. On the software side, it runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, delivering a refined and fluid user experience. OnePlus has committed to 4 major Android updates along with up to 6 years of security patches, making it a strong contender for long-term usability.
Camera and Battery
The camera system is where some compromises are evident. The Nord 6 features a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a color spectrum sensor. While the main camera is expected to deliver reliable results in well-lit conditions, the ultrawide sensor may fall short in comparison. Additionally, the front camera has been downgraded to 32MP from the 50MP unit seen on the previous model.
Battery life is a major highlight of the Nord 6. It packs a massive 9,000mAh battery—approximately 32% larger than the 6,800mAh unit on the Nord 5—offering exceptional endurance. Charging is supported at 80W, consistent with its predecessor, but now includes 55W PPS fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging for added versatility.
